Our Trainers


Leroy Burton, CIH

Leroy has over 30 years of experience in industrial hygiene management, safety program management and training. Leroy oversees iSi’s safety and industrial hygiene group and conducts facility-wide safety audits, behavior-based safety worker audits, industrial hygiene program assessments and conducts HAZWOPER and other general safety training courses. Leroy has a B.A. in Biology from Friends University and is a Certified Industrial Hygienist.

 

Karen Baxter

Karen has over 20 years of experience in the transportation of hazardous materials by ground, air and maritime methods. Karen has a B.S. in Biological Sciences and a Chemistry Minor from Wichita State University. She is well versed in the following hazardous materials courses: 49 CFR, International Air Transportation Association (IATA), International Maritime Organization (IMO), International Civil Air Organization (ICAO), FAR Part 145, ADR (European international carriage of dangerous goods by road) and Performance Oriented Packaging.

 

John M. Baker, CHMM

As iSi’s Consulting Services Manager, John oversees the tasks of iSi’s Consulting Services department. John has over 30 years of experience in a variety of environmental, health and safety regulatory compliance issues involving hazardous waste, water, wastewater, air, building maintenance, groundwater, hazardous materials transportation and corporate global environmental initiatives. John has a B.S. in Biology with a Chemistry Minor from Kansas State University.

 

Keith Reissig

Keith is an industrial hygienist who, in addition to safety and health training, creates compliance programs, develops and implements health and safety programs and handles occupational exposure sampling. Keith has a B.S. in Chemistry and a B.S. in Mathematics from Friends University and is a member of the American Chemical Society, ACS Division of Chemical Health and Safety and the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA).

 

Ben Chavez

Ben is iSi’s corporate field safety officer, providing safety, HAZWOPER and other training to iSi’s facility support crews. Ben maintains iSi’s internal safety programs, conducts job safety analyses, provides support for hazardous waste compliance, assists in external training courses and has over 10 years of experience in safety, warehousing and distribution.

 

Nikki Chavez, CHMM

Nikki is a project manager who provides environmental compliance services and training for clients in the areas of hazardous waste management, air permitting, wastewater treatment, storm water pollution prevention, SPCC, environmental sampling and site assessment. With over 7 years of environmental compliance experience, her specialty is hazardous waste management. She has overseen compliance for a Large Quantity Generator with over 200 hazardous waste collection sites and has conducted environmental compliance audits. Nikki has a B.A. in Biology from Newman University, a mini M.B.A. from Wichita State University and is a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager.

Amanda Scheufler

An iSi project manager, Amanda provides environmental compliance assistance and training in the areas of hazardous waste management, air permitting, storm water pollution prevention, spill control, facility response plans, spill investigation, environmental sampling and environmental site assessments. Amanda has a B.S. in Human Biology from the University of Kansas.

Constance Timmons, CIE/CMR

Constance has over 25 years of experience in industrial hygiene, worker protection and building health issues related to asbestos, mold and lead. She has an M.S. in Environmental Plans and Management from Denver University, an A.S. in Bioenvironmental Engineering from the Community College of the Air Force and is a Kansas & Missouri Licensed Lead-Based Paint Risk Assessor and Asbestos Inspector, a Certified Mold Remediator and a Certified Indoor Environmentalist.
