1. General Company Information
Basic details—date established, corporate structure, addresses, contacts, NAICS codes, Tax ID, DUNS number, employee count, financial references, and project references. Straightforward but time-consuming if you don’t have it organized in one place.
2. Safety Policies and Procedures
Expect detailed questions about your safety program structure: who’s responsible, how management is involved, whether hourly employees participate, what supervisor training looks like, audit frequency, safety meeting cadence, stop-work authority, hazard reporting, incident investigation procedures, and new-hire protocols. Some clients will ask about your safety culture and whether you’ve had a third-party culture survey.
3. Written Safety Programs
Based on the services you list in your profile, ISNetworld and your Owner Client will generate a required list of written safety programs. You’ll need to show specific elements in each program, which often means updating what you already have. Be careful about what your written programs commit you to—if it says you’ll do something and you don’t, OSHA can cite you for not following your own plan.
A practical tip from our own experience: be selective about which services you list initially. 4. Training Programs
For many written programs, you’ll need corresponding training documentation. Some require annual uploads; others are on two- or three-year cycles. Be prepared to answer questions about new-hire training content, frequency, and documentation methods.
5. Regulatory Data
OSHA injury and illness data is required quarterly and annually. ISNetworld grades you on your three-year rolling average, so a bad year follows you. If you have commercial vehicles, you’ll also need DOT numbers, annual driver statistics, miles driven, and information about your vehicle and driver programs.
6. Insurance
Individual certificates of insurance must be uploaded for each Owner Client, each with their own coverage requirements. Some clients require specialized policies or elevated coverage limits that can cost thousands. You’ll also need three years of experience modification rate data.
7. Employee and Contractor Data
Some clients require monthly reporting of hours worked on-site, employee headcount, miles driven, incident counts, and subcontractor data—broken out by site location. This ongoing reporting obligation catches many companies off guard after initial setup.
8. Human Resources Information
Drug and alcohol testing policies and procedures, and potentially individual employee testing through approved vendors who share results directly with the platform. Background checks may be required for employees going on-site. You may need to provide employee information for Department of Homeland Security compliance. Bring your HR team into the process early.
9. Sustainability and Cybersecurity
These are newer additions. ISNetworld includes an extensive cybersecurity questionnaire, and several Owner Clients now require written cybersecurity programs.
